Confirmation Preparation

The Bishop recently lowered the age at which students may receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students in middle school and high school who meet the requirements are eligible to begin the preparation process.

At St. Anne, our goal is to form Missionary Disciples, helping young people not only prepare to receive the sacrament but also to understand and live their Catholic faith. For this reason, our Confirmation program includes an application process and several prerequisites before a student is accepted into the program.

One of the primary requirements is that the family be actively participating in Sunday Mass each week. Throughout the year, students will receive Mass attendance cards that must be signed each weekend by a priest or the Director of Faith Formation as part of their preparation.

Confirmation preparation classes are held every Sunday from 3:00–5:00 PM. We offer a Bilingual group and a Spanish group.

Students entering 6th grade are eligible to begin the preparation process. Our Confirmation program runs from September through August, with the Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation taking place in the fall after all preparation has been completed.

At least one parent or guardian is required to attend every Confirmation class with their child. We believe that parents are the primary educators in the faith, and their participation is an essential part of the preparation process.

Baptism certificates must be provided on registration day. The cost is $30 per student. Registrations open on July 1st.
